EuroCross Netherlands Delegation Visits Başkent Konya Hospital

Başkent Konya Hospital had the pleasure of welcoming a delegation from EuroCross Netherlands, our esteemed international partner in private health insurance services. The visit aimed to strengthen mutual cooperation and explore opportunities for expanding collaboration in international patient care.

During the visit, the EuroCross team toured the hospital facilities and received a detailed overview of our medical infrastructure and healthcare services available to insured international patients.

Prof. Dr. Ali Haberal, Director of the Health Group at Başkent University Hospitals, officially welcomed the Ambassador of the Republic of Yemen to Türkiye at the Başkent University headquarters in Ankara. The Ambassador was accompanied by Dr. Mohammed Al-Qadri, the Health Attaché of the Yemeni Embassy. Reaffirming its leadership in organ transplantation, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Haberal, Founder of the Başkent University Hospital Network, successfully performed a kidney transplant surgery for a patient from the Kingdom of Morocco at Başkent Konya Hospital. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Haberal is globally recognized as a pioneer in transplant medicine, being the first surgeon to perform a kidney transplant in Turkey and the first in the world to successfully perform a living donor liver transplant between two living individuals a historic breakthrough in medical science.

A New Step of Hope for Little Nour

In a heartwarming humanitarian effort, our hospital’s Konya branch welcomed the Moroccan child “Nour”, who received a prosthetic limb following the loss of one of her legs. This initiative was made possible through the support of the Moroccan charity organization Yallah Netteawnou, led by Ms. Nawal Filali and her dedicated team, who accompanied and supported the family throughout the treatment journey. Nour’s first step was emotional and challenging both mentally and physically. However, she showed incredible courage and has adapted well to her new prosthesis. We pray that her journey ahead will be even brighter and full of progress. Little Ziyad, who accompanied her, is also in good health. Following the completion of their treatment, both children have returned to their home country, the Kingdom of Morocco. We extend our sincere gratitude to Ms. Nawal Filali and her team, as well as all those who contributed to making this meaningful humanitarian support possible.
