Little Miracle Ishraq
One Year Ago...
Little Ishraq arrived
from Morocco at Başkent University Hospitals via a special air ambulance as an
emergency case, suffering from acute liver failure caused by a malignant liver
tumor. Her condition was so critical that many considered it a miracle for her
to survive even a single day.
We began her treatment
journey with chemotherapy to prepare her for a liver transplant. The
life-saving transplant was then successfully performed by Professor Dr. Mehmet
Haberal, the pioneer of organ transplantation and founder of Başkent University
Hospitals. Following the surgery, chemotherapy was continued until her
treatment program was fully completed.
Today, after a challenging
and intense medical journey, we are grateful to see Ishraq successfully
completing her treatment at our hospital.
We extend our deepest
thanks and appreciation to everyone who contributed to this life-saving
journey:
Ms. Nawal El Filali,
Chairperson of the charitable association, and her dedicated volunteer team for
their unwavering support,
And to all the
doctors, nursing staff, translators, and the unsung heroes who worked
tirelessly and selflessly to save her life.
This is more than just
a medical success story
It is a living
testament that hope is stronger than disease, and that determination,
compassion, and teamwork can create miracles.
