Diagnosis by clinical evaluation and laboratory tests of preimplantation, prenatal and/or postnatal diagnosis of genetic diseases, to inform families by determining risky individuals through family tree analysis is the primary application area.

In Başkent University Genetic Diseases Diagnosis Center, diagnosis, screening and counseling healthcare services are provided by using recent technologies in cytogenetic, Molecular Cytogenetic (FISH, aCGH) and molecular genetics area.

Our center which continues to studies since 1997 has obtained licence according to “Notice about the Genetic Diseases Diagnosis Centers”, which is published in Official Gazette on 10 June 1998, no 23368 and provides licensed service in the fields of CYTOGENETIC and MOLECULAR GENETICS .
