Başkent Konya Hospital Achieves a New Medical Milestone with Successful Kidney Transplant for Moroccan Patient

Reaffirming its leadership in organ transplantation, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Haberal, Founder of the Başkent University Hospital Network, successfully performed a kidney transplant surgery for a patient from the Kingdom of Morocco at Başkent Konya Hospital.
 
Prof. Dr. Mehmet Haberal is globally recognized as a pioneer in transplant medicine, being the first surgeon to perform a kidney transplant in Turkey and the first in the world to successfully perform a living donor liver transplant between two living individuals a historic breakthrough in medical science.
 
Following comprehensive and high-standard preoperative assessments, the transplantation was completed with outstanding success. The patient’s condition is now stable, and the transplanted kidney is demonstrating excellent function.
