Başkent Konya Visits Turkish Embassy in Dakar to Boost Healthcare Cooperation
As part of its ongoing efforts to expand its international network and strengthen its presence in the medical tourism sector, Mr. Ercan Zeki Gedik, accompanied by Dr. Ömer Ali Kerküklü, Medical Director of the International Patient Department at Başkent University Konya Hospital, paid an official visit to the Turkish Embassy in Dakar, Senegal.
The delegation was received by H.E. Ambassador Dilşad Kırbaşlı Karaoğlu. During the meeting, discussions focused on enhancing healthcare cooperation and improving access for patients from West Africa to Türkiye’s advanced medical services.
This visit reflects Başkent Konya Hospital’s commitment to strengthening its position in international markets, particularly in Africa, where demand for advanced healthcare and medical tourism services continues to grow.
The meeting also highlighted the hospital’s advanced medical capabilities, including organ transplantation, cardiovascular surgery, pediatric cardiology, stem cell therapies, and a wide range of specialized treatments tailored for international patients in line with global standards.
Both sides emphasized the importance of establishing direct communication channels with official institutions to facilitate patient processes and strengthen institutional collaboration in healthcare.
