Başkent University Konya Hospital Hosts Healthcare Delegation from Uzbekistan
Başkent University Konya Hospital hosted a healthcare delegation from Uzbekistan on September 24 and 25, as part of a visit aimed at providing the delegation with an opportunity to learn more about Türkiye’s healthcare system, explore the medical services and specialties available at the hospital, and exchange professional knowledge and experience.
Throughout the two-day visit, the delegation was introduced to the hospital’s healthcare structure, its medical departments, and the services provided across a range of specialties. The program also included meetings with physicians and healthcare professionals, allowing the delegation to learn more about different areas of expertise and discuss medical procedures and treatment approaches available at the hospital.
The delegation from Uzbekistan was also introduced to a range of medical specialties, surgical procedures, and diagnostic and treatment services offered at Başkent University Konya Hospital. Information was shared about patient evaluation, diagnostic processes, treatment planning, and medical follow-up, providing the delegation with a closer understanding of how different specialties work together within an integrated hospital structure.
An important part of the program focused on Türkiye’s healthcare system and its experience in providing medical services, as well as the role of Başkent University Konya Hospital within this structure. The delegation was also introduced to the hospital’s services for international patients and the coordination process throughout the patient journey.
This included information about the process from the initial communication and medical file assessment to identifying the appropriate physician and department, arranging appointments and medical procedures, and coordinating the patient’s care during their stay.
Beyond the medical program, the visit also provided an opportunity for the delegation to discover Konya’s historical and cultural character and learn more about the city and its environment, adding a cultural dimension to the professional visit.
The meetings held during the two days provided a valuable setting for professional dialogue and exchange of experience regarding healthcare services, areas of mutual interest, and potential opportunities for future communication and cooperation.
