High-Level Diplomatic Visit to Ankara Başkent University Hospital
At the official invitation of Başkent University, H.E. Mr. Moustapha Sokhna
Diop, Ambassador of the Republic of Senegal, paid a high-level diplomatic visit
to Ankara Başkent University Hospital, accompanied by the President of KONIAD.
The delegation was received by Prof. Dr. Mehmet Haberal, Founder of Başkent
University and a globally recognized authority in medicine and organ
transplantation. The visit reaffirmed Başkent University’s distinguished
institutional and academic standing, as well as Türkiye’s leadership in
advanced healthcare, medical education, and research.
The meetings were held with the active participation of Mr. Ercan Zeki
Gedik, International Patients Coordinator, and Dr. Ömer Ali Kerküklü, Medical
Director of the International Patient i Department, focusing on structured,
long-term healthcare cooperation and the development of international patient
services between Senegal and Türkiye.
