Towards a New Life: Two Critical Pediatric Liver Transplant Cases Transferred from Morocco to Başkent Hospital via Air Ambulance
In a life-saving and humanitarian mission, two critically ill Moroccan girls in need of pediatric liver transplantation were successfully transferred from the Kingdom of Morocco to Başkent University Hospital in Turkey via air ambulance, to receive urgent and specialized care.

This delicate operation was carried out with utmost precision and coordination, in collaboration with Mrs. Nawal Filali, President of the Moroccan “Yallah Nette3awnou” Association, and with the direct support of Dr. Ömer Ali Kerküklü, Head of the International Patient Department at Başkent Hospital – Konya, along with his dedicated team who ensured the safe arrival and smooth transition of both patients.
This event reflects Başkent Hospital’s unwavering commitment to providing world-class medical care, particularly in pediatric organ transplantation, while placing compassion and hope at the heart of its mission. The sky was their path to our hospital, and hope is their destination for recovery.
